Kineforum DKJ Menggelar Bulan Film Nasional

To commemorate the day of national film that is celebrated every March 30 *, Kineforum - The Jakarta Arts Council held a National Film Month. Free screening programs for the general public during the month of March at Studio 21 in Taman Ismail Marzuki.

The 4th National Film Month themed "History is Now". Movies to be played has been summarized in several themes: Body of Works (the BOW) Soekarno M. Noer,  Three Decade Youth Film Indonesia, Selection 80's, Family Film, Indonesia on the World Stage, Lenteng Forum, and the Ghosts In Indonesia Horror Movie. All film screenings is free and will rotate classic films, was a collection Sinematek Indonesia. These programs involve Lisabona Rahman, Veronica Kusuma, Ekky Imanjaya, and several others as a programmer.

In addition to film screenings, this program also presents History of Cinema Exhibition in Indonesia, for one full month at the Theatre Ketjil, Taman Ismail Marzuki. This exhibition is presented to satisfy curiosity about the long journey in Indonesian cinema. Because, as all know, the cinema is a silent witness to the relationship between the film audience. There will be a lot of amazing things that can be encountered in tracing the history of cinema through the exhibition that dealt with this Yunanto Ardi.

In an effort to treat history in memory, also held Book Discussion "The History of Indonesian Film: Film Making in Java?" Works of Misbach Yusa Biran. The new book was launched a few months ago, contains a historical record of a movie actor who's worked in this period. Tthis event is expected that the community can recognize and understand and complete their memories of the Indonesian film industry. Not only that, Kineforum Arts Council also invites you to follow along with Veronica Kusuma Public Lecture about "The ghosts in Indonesia Horror Movie."

The event is not less interesting of course "Public for Public Space," In this year, still working with Indra Ameng, this time the show is packed with more exciting and fun! Still in the spirit of raising funds for operational costs and maintenance costs Kineforum films in Sinematek Indonesian Indonesian classic, re-present this event in the form of concert music. This musical concert will be keep in touch with the world of the film because some of the songs will be played in this concert are the songs that never became a movie soundtrack, whether classical or movie film of the present.

There are two public events for Public Space. First will be the theme of "Rock". Kineforum will present a number of famous Indonesian band to enliven the event. In addition, discussions will be held themed Music Indonesian Industrial History and the problem is Appointed to the film. That is not less exciting, the film will be screened to complement all frizzy Duo!

Meanwhile, another event that was in desperate need of your participation is the Public for Public Space; Film and Costume Party. It's going to be playing the movie with the entire audience using appropriate costume film set "Tiga Dara", which was produced in 1965. Why "Tiga Dara"? The film that describes the relationship of brotherhood and love story has become an inspiration to every audience, especially in those days. Then, after playing the mini-concert will be held.

About Kineforum Arts Council

Kineforum is the first cinema in Jakarta, which offers a variety of programs including the classic film of Indonesia and the work of contemporary filmmakers. This space is held in response to the absence of non-commercial cinemas in Jakarta and procurement needs a space for intercultural exchange through audio-visual works.

Kineforum a screening room which is not the main aim of seeking financial gain, is managed by the Jakarta Arts Council and young volunteers. Events at Kineforum run through the cooperation of the Jakarta Arts Council and Studio 21. This space is expected to become an exhibition space and dialogue for filmmakers and audiences Jakarta, especially for works of non-mainstream.
